Poplar Grove occupies Eastern Shoshone and goshute land.
We acknowledge that the Poplar Grove neighborhood exists on the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Goshute, Paiute, Shoshone, and Ute peoples. These Indigenous nations have lived in and cared for this land since time immemorial and continue to do so today.
As the Poplar Grove Community Council, we honor and respect the enduring relationship between Indigenous peoples and their homelands. We recognize the legacy of colonization and displacement and commit to uplifting Indigenous voices, histories, and futures within our community.
We encourage our neighbors to learn more about the original stewards of this land and to engage in acts of solidarity and respect for Indigenous communities.
